Ilhan Omar is doing what she does best, which is slandering Americans as a way to project her insecurities on the rest of the world.

Omar, who may or may not have married her brother, thinks Trump won because of “the level of stupidity that [Americans] are displaying every single day,” which she describes as " frankly embarrassing.”

What is highly absurd about her statements is not that she slanders half the country solely because she disagrees with them politically but because she bashes the people of the nation who gave her everything and more.

She fled Somalia when she was eight years old, and America welcomed her with open arms, so much so that she became one of “the first woman of color to represent Minnesota and one of the first two Muslim-American women elected to Congress.”

So it begs the question, why is she so mad at the people who gave her more than anyone from Somalia could even dream of? That is unclear but the level of contempt she has for the people who allowed her to climb the political ladder is a level of entitlement that the third world could never understand.

Even more astonishing is that it’s impossible to name one positive thing she has done for the people of Minnesota or America. So, while she despises everyone and everything that got her where she is today, her insults truly represent everything she is.

But the ad hominem attacks are not even a concern when compared to her claim that Americans “are allowed to say just the most ridiculous things.” So while she may or may not believe she has a right to spout her political nonsense, she has implied she wishes to take that right from Americans. And if that is not an admission of tyrannical overreach, then nothing is.
