Despite having media and creative industries in their back pocket, leftists have zero imagination when it comes to insulting or discounting conservatives. I've been writing about this for the better part of a decade now. The leftist playbook is as predictable as it is simple:

Paint conservatives as either stupid racists, sexists, or some kind of phobic. Often a combination of all. If you're really lucky, they'll toss in "anti-science." Cute. Most of the time that's all that's required. Use an ad hominem attack, have zero to back up your mud slinging, then let the chips fall where you shot them.

Case in point: George W. Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Ted Cruz have all been labeled as idiots and racists. Regardless of actual IQ and/or history with people of different races. Facts schmacts.

The worst part? It's worked. All too often Republicans/conservatives have preemptively apologized for having thoughts which may run contrary to the already pre-approved ideas set by the left. These "conservatives," who apologize before the debate begins, not only embarrass themselves and anger their base, they accomplish nothing with the left, who continue to demonize them for being poopyhead meany conservatives. Who are also racist, stupid and sexist anyways. Get out of my presence, demon!

Dr. Ben Carson is proof conservatives need to stop apologizing. Ben Carson saunters along, whistling kindly, separating conjoined twins and having more brilliance in one fingernail than the entire 2016 DNC line-up combined. Carson's a successful, refined genius (by definition) who's likely more polite than any candidate seen in forty years. What does the left do? Demonize him. They trot out the same old playbook. Throw it at him.

The left labels Ben Carson, a "dumbass" and a "bigot." It doesn't matter if he's been honored as the country's top brain surgeon. It doesn't matter he's a black man. Despite every single shred of evidence to the contrary, the left is incapable of attacking him in any way other than labeling him a racist dummy. So they have to get libelous and call him a liar, like Politico saying he lied about being accepted to West Point. Or what CNN did, claiming he was a horrible youngster. More recently, HuffPo claimed he was an "Anti-Muslim Conspiracy Theorist." Thanks, HuffPo.

But there's something different during this lynch campaign. It didn't work. Carson chugged along and has been recently named to lead Housing of Urban Development by Donald Trump. Nice try, lefties. But next time maybe change your game plan.

Dr. Ben Carson's very existence shines a light on the Liberal lynch-mob. Never has it been more clear that left is incapable of arguing ideas, but is forced to try and assassinate their opponents character. Even one as accomplished as Carson's. Say what you want about Ben Carson during the election season, his choices or endorsements do not tarnish his heretofore life accomplishments.

Compare the coverage of Ben Carson, noted brain surgeon, to the glowing praise of felonious She Devil, Hillary Clinton.

But with Carson, the left has tipped their hand. They've overreached and the public sees it. Sure, their tired old attacks of "racist" and "dumb" will work with the seven viewers at MSNBC, maybe even CNN. But with mainstream America, with the moderates, the attacks won't work. Anyone with half a brain will be forced to ask question:

"... Really? This is the guy they told me was a bigot? This is the 'idiot' everyone's been furious about? The smiling, soft-spoken, black brain surgeon? This can't be right.."

There's a valuable lesson here: if someone like Ben Carson cannot avoid the liberal lynch mob, isn't it time we realize what the lynch mob is? Useless, powerless, a fading bunch of tantrum-throwers who would turn to Ben Carson if they ever developed enough self-awareness to realize they needed their brain fixed with more than bandaid.

So to the conservatives trying to appease the modern leftists, stop. Stop apologizing, stop backing down, stop playing nice. Look at the lynch mob as a badge of honor, not something to fear. Run to it not from it. You'll get attacked regardless of what you do or say. As long as an "R" follows your name, you'll be a target. Have a spine, use your brain, stand up for what you believe and what your constituents believe and fight back!

Ben Carson is not only still standing, he's making waves in politics. Is it fair to question his stances, statements, and experience? Absolutely. But to blindly call him a racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic idiot with zero to base it upon? Lynch mob. Don't be part of it.
