We're less than two months away from the ginormous red supernova that is going to electorally wash over America in November. Others call it a red tsunami or a red tidal wave, but we here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website are tired of aquatic national disasters. It's a big red supernova, and the midterms are our four-leaf clover. Maybe.

As we start September, polls tend to tighten, and there are so many of them, it's easy to pick a few that validate a few to back up your beliefs. Like Democrats running towards every abortion poll they can twist. But I happened to catch two polls that caught my partisan eye that will make November very interesting.

One is a new NBC poll. The top line is the r's and d's are tied on the generic 46/46. But dig a little deeper and you see the MASSIVE preferences voters have towards GOP on three top issues. Republicans are favored seventeen points on immigration, nineteen points on the economy, and TWENTY-THREE POINTS on crime.

The crime stat proves interesting as we look at the other poll. Less a poll, more a rating system. The Cook Report has rated the Oregon Governor's race a toss-up. Yes, deep blue Oregon in the pacific northwest that hasn't elected a Republican in decades.

The nonpartisan election handicapper noted that Republicans could have a chance flipping the governor’s mansion because of Brown’s lower approval ratings and pointed to at least one ad in which Drazan sought to tie the two Democrats together.

Cook points to it being a three-way race where an independent candidate could provide a spoiler. But progressive Gov. Brown's low approval rating could be more of a factor. Oregon is a state where every soggy progressive dream comes true, and voters are less and less enamored by it. They are speaking out about Portland's massive homeless problem ruining neighborhoods. Crime is so bad a homeless woman broke into someone's house and attacked the homeowner, yet charges were not filed. Even a lesbian bar wasn't safe.

We like to point out the progressives who have no one to blame but themselves for continually voting for progressive leaders to enact progressive policies and are left to deal with the consequences of their actions. Could voters in Oregon be waking up? And if they are, what does it say for voters in purple states? We'll find out in 50 days.
