You can rely on the media making predictable moves following any kind of shooting. After massive calls for "gun control," the media shoves victim's families in front of clicking cameras and hot microphones to push their agenda of gun control. Why debate facts when you can try to nail the American public with a solid dose of the feels? Because guns bad, Islam peaceful. Everything is totally the fault of the NRA and Christians. In other words, Thursday.

Something tells me that Mark Bando won't be on cable news anytime soon. You'll know why after you read this. Here are the key two paragraphs:

Like his mother, Christopher was very idealistic about the human race, and he did not want to see the evil in the world or even to believe it existed. He used to laugh and joke and tell me I was paranoid, to carry a gun off duty, when I was a Detroit cop. He called me after September 11th, when his world view altered somewhat, after seeing planes fly into the World Trade Center. So he made the giant leap to believing there are evil people in the world, but not far enough to acquaint himself with firearms, or to get a permit to carry. If we'd spent the last 2 decades living in close proximity to each other, I have little doubt I'd have trained him to use a gun. After seeing the Paris massacre last year, I thought, "If only one of the intended victims in that large crowd had been armed, many lives could have been saved." I also thought, this couldn't happen in America, because surely, somebody in a large crowd like that would be armed, in the U.S. Wrong, history has repeated itself right here in the USA and my son and 51 others were slaughtered like helpless cattle, precisely because nobody in that club had a weapon to shoot back with.

The killer was armed and his helpless victims were not, yet the anti gun politicians still want to disarm the populace, enabling these scenarios. It is likely such attacks will continue, until the victims start shooting back. That's the lesson I take from this, for what it's worth. When the shooting started Saturday night, I'll bet there wasn't a person in the club who wouldn't have traded everything he owned in the world, for a loaded gun.

We couldn't agree more. So for Mr. Bando here...

Especially when you see who's leading us. Our "leaders" by the way? Most of them walk around with armed security. Because as it turns out, having people armed with guns, even big scary black ones, makes one relatively safer than not having any guns at all.

We have this argument with politicians every single time a madman, or in this case, an Islamist, shoots people. It is, as I stated at the opening of this post, as predictable as a fat feminist bitching about beauty standards. While taking pictures of her grotesque armpit hair. I think I just threw up a little...

But the facts will never change. When people feel threatened, when they feel like their life is in danger, they do not look to safe spaces or gun free zones for protection. Just look at the aftermath of Orlando, watch how most people have responded. Gun sales among the LGBT community have skyrocketed. Gun-owners across the nation are helping the LGBT community lock and load. So while the media is doing everything it can to discredit guns, gun-owners, Christians and the NRA, the actual American people are arming up.

No talking points, no focus group, no politician with lofty words or fake tears about how bad the boom-boom sticks are, deters people from their natural instinct to defend themselves. Self-preservation. It's a thing.
