Watch: Armed Student Attacks Police, Gets Shot. Leftists Blame... the Police?!
When it comes to police shootings, the left is always quick to jump on the back of the cop who did the shooting. He's the police, not a pony. Offload (see HuffPo Factcheck: Actually, Trump is Right about Rise in Anti-Police Shootings… and War on Cops: While Police Mourn Yet Another Murdered Officer, Two More Are Shot…). Progressives like to believe that cops are always evil, even when there is footage to show the contrary. Like in this video below. Use thine eye holes to deduce information and conduct critical thinking.
This is not a trigger warning, but you do see the cop pull the trigger in this clip.
Police in Georgia are under scrutiny following the deadly shooting of an LGBT student activist who was apparently armed with a knife.Scout Shultz, 21, was shot after being involved in a standoff with police at the Georgia Institute of Technology campus in Atlanta late on Saturday.
Video footage of the standoff shows Schultz slowly walking towards officers and shouting “Shoot me!” during the standoff. The officers are heard encouraging Schultz to drop the knife on several occasions. “Nobody wants to hurt you,” one of the officers said at one point in the video.
The victim’s mother, Lynne Schultz, told the Journal Constitution that Schultz was a talented student but suffered from depression and had attempted suicide two years ago.
She questioned why police used lethal force. “Why didn’t they use some non-lethal force, like pepper spray or tasers?” she said, adding that Schultz had been shot in the heart.
And the outrage begins, first by the organization this young man lead. But when sympathy starts pouring, blubbering SJW's are quick to stifle any form of true sympathy with political correctness.

Then there are the exclamations of "How could this happen?!"
So saddened by what happened at Gatech but still, why was shooting with a gun necessary? RIP Scout Schultz.— K.J.PhB. (@K.J.PhB.) 1505742951.0

There's video. The student, Scout Schultz, was distressed but not violent. At one point they yelled "shoot me."— Angus Johnston 😷 (@Angus Johnston 😷) 1505684402.0
Shit I can't believe Scout Schultz is dead I met them they were so chill and committed to helping other people how did this happen— Kyla 🤔👽💃🏻 (@Kyla 🤔👽💃🏻) 1505668774.0
A few points here, to clarify for those who claim to understand mental illness:
- Suicidal peoples can be extremely volatile
- Spraying said person with pepper spray would only make them more volatile
- Tasing said person would cause them to hold onto the knife (muscle contractions) not drop it
- The cop only fired one shot, and thus was not using excessive force
- The officers followed proper protocol and did more than enough in trying to talk the young man down
This whole incident was unfortunate, but no abuse of power took place. Cops plead with the man to drop his weapon. He did not. He continued to approach them in a violent manner (armed with a weapon) and now he's dead. Leftists should focus their energy on mourning this death, not using it to whack police or virtue signal.
Of course, that'd be asking too much...
