Why and how James Bond became the latest front in the social justice culture war, I have no idea. It's 2015, this is apparently the world we live in, and former Bond actor Roger Moore made shocking - SHOCKING - comments about James Bond.

He says Bond can't be a woman, or gay.

I know, right?

James Bond legend Sir Roger Moore has courted controversy by insisting that 007 could never be portrayed as a gay man – or be played by a woman.

Sir Roger, who has previously come under fire for questioning whether the spy could be played by a black actor such as Idris Elba, risks a further backlash over his latest comments.

He said: ‘I have heard people talk about how there should be a lady Bond or a gay Bond. But they wouldn’t be Bond for the simple reason that wasn’t what Ian Fleming wrote.’

The 88-year-old star said ‘political correctness’ should not be pandered to, insisting: ‘It is not about being homophobic or, for that matter, racist – it is simply about being true to the character.’

It shouldn't be shocking that a character known for being a ladies man can't be a woman or gay. What is surprising? The fact Bond himself isn't riddled with STDs. See, this is all make believe! Make believe; just like pretending you're a woman when you have a big old tallywhacker hanging between your legs.

But that brings about a legitimate concern. Bond is so promiscuous and martini'd up, he'd do well to be careful these days when it comes to his escapades. This isn't the 1970's and that 'lady' at the bar...

If Hollywood wants to make Jane Bond or Caitlyn Bond in order to check off the social justice warrior box, then good for them. We just don't think it will work...
