Video has emerged from a Charlotte parade of an adult stripper giving a little boy a ride on her pole. This was done all while grown adults looked on and celebrated. But hey, at least the stripper wasn't naked! Or, in the name of context, she only appears to be a stripper. She could just be a pole dancer and/or an exhibitionist. The little kid is still a little kid, though.

In the olden days, we could all agree this was inappropriate.

The event took place at a Charlotte Pride parade last month. In June, we are told to celebrate the love and contributions to society of L's, G''s, B's, T's, Q's, A's, I's, other I's, P's, and whatever the hell the pluses are. Sometimes, these events get raunchy and do so with little children present. There have been a few examples where half-naked men were shown prancing around with little kids, as some of those little kids tipped them money. Critics call this inappropriate. Critics of those critics cry homophobia.

Unclear is what those critics of critics would call this. The stripper (or half-naked pole dancer) appears to be a cis-gendered female. If that is the case, defenders of half-naked men doing similar might not defend this because she's just a white woman.

Those of us who criticize any grown-ass adult trying to sexualize children don't have that issue. Gay or straight, this is sick and gross, as are the adults--and especially the kid's parent(s)- standing around being entertained by it.
