Has anyone been watching the war in Ukraine and thinking, "Man, that stuff looks like a blasty-blast! We should totally get involved in something like that, only bigger!" China is really hung up on the idea that they sort of own Taiwan. It's a similar-ish situation to how they see Hong Kong. Basically, China--like most communists--just thinks everything belongs to it. So, when Nancy Pelosi decided she was going to grace Taiwan with her presence, signaling to the world recognition of Taiwan's sovereignty, China was more than a little irked.

In response to this slight, China started moving troops around, making announcements via state media and various government officials to the effect of, "This shall not stand!" and basically huffing and puffing like little insecure dictators often do when their holding to power by a tenuous thread. I'm speaking, of course, about the little communist Pooh bear running the show over there.

But Pelosi went to Taiwan, and there hasn't been any news of World War III popping off just yet, so that's a good thing. She isn't back on American soil yet, though, so there's still time for something ridiculous to happen.

I'm just going to throw it out there, though. If World War III does go down, I can guarantee a bunch of women are going to stop decrying the patriarchy when only the men are drafted to fight. We might also see a bunch of those limp-wristed lefties run to Canada finally, too.
