Watch: Pete Buttigieg bizarrely (and creepily) photographs reporter who confronts him about East Palestine
Pete Buttigieg is not to be bothered during his 'personal time'. Nor his paternity leave. Those babies aren't gonna chest feed themselves.
Jennie Taer, a reporter with Daily Caller, approached Mayor Pete on the street last night to ask about the East Palestine crisis. Buttigieg responded with snark, saying, "Well I'd refer you to about a dozen interviews I've given today." He refused to reiterate the comments he gave during those interviews. He was too busy taking some "personal time" to walk down the street.
After Jennie asked if he planned to visit East Palestine, Buttigieg asked to take a photo of her. Presumably, because he felt she was harassing him. By doing her job. The nerve.
“I asked Secretary Buttigieg about the crisis in East Palestine and I guess he didn’t like that so he took a pic of me. Im just doing my job, sir. @DailyCaller”— Jennie Taer (@Jennie Taer) 1677025793
Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden still have yet to visit East Palestine since the catastrophic train derailment. Instead, Biden went to Ukraine, and Pete Buttigieg apparently took some personal time. Priorities, people!
Donald Trump is actually heading to East Palestine today, and will reportedly donate thousands of gallons of cleaning supplies, 13 pallets of water, and meet with members of the community.

Despite Norfolk Southern and the government claiming all is well in East Palestine, residents have major concerns for their health. The water appears to have an oily rainbow sheen, and people have reported coughing, chemical burns, headaches, and generally feeling unwell from breathing the air.
“Many videos going around showing the toxic water quality in East Palestine, Ohio. Few talking about the air quality.

I spent the day there and afterward red rash irritation on the skin, sore throat, burning sensation on face and mouth.

The government is lying to you.”— Benny Johnson (@Benny Johnson) 1676593666
An environmental advocate told CBS News that the Ohio government and Norfolk Southern may have contaminated the water table when they dug a hole to fill it with the spilled chemicals and then lit it on fire. This could have contaminated the aquifer, the underground layer of water-bearing, permeable rock used for groundwater extraction. Which is very bad.
““It looks like the situation was mishandled on the upfront that created a worse scenario,” says environmental advocate Erin Brockovich on the Ohio train derailment.

She tells @CBS_Herridge early procedures may have contaminated the water table in East Palestine.”— CBS News (@CBS News) 1676683685
So it certainly appears all is not well in East Palestine, despite the insistence of everyone in charge. I'm sure the residents are eagerly awaiting Pete Buttigieg's visit. Just after he finishes up his personal time, of course.
