Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump's embattled nominee for Defense Secretary, sat down with Megyn Kelly and made it clear he is ready to fight. It's not like we haven't seen the Left use this playbook before. They are trying to run the "Brett Kavanaugh" in an attempt to bully Hegseth into dropping out.

He knows it, as do the senators he's been meeting with. Kelly asked him point blank if he thinks he's being "Kavanaugh'd."

I had a member not 45 minutes ago look me in the eye, in private... and say, 'That's what they're trying to do to you... because you're a threat.. to all of the things in Washington, D.C. — The Swamp — the things that people have rejected. You're a threat to that.'

They are referencing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings. If appointed, Kavanaugh would have upset the balance of power in the Supreme Court. The day after his hearing, a "rumor" started that "someone" had made an accusation against him from when they were in college.

Enter Christine Blasey Ford, represented by two activist attorneys who, that week, had a planned fundraiser for a Democrat Senator. Ford claims Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in college. She had no evidence. She also couldn't remember when it happened or where it happened. But she was a woman making an accusation, and Kavanaugh was a man, so that was enough. The plan was to bully him into stepping down or to have President Trump pull the nomination.

Both men decided to fight the slander instead. Hence, Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court now.

The accusations being levied at Hegseth are even less credible because they are entirely anonymous.

- Hegseth was accused of assault by a woman. Police investigated and found that the allegations weren't credible.

- A bunch of anonymous "Fox News employees" told an NBC News reporter that Hegseth likes to drink. The former colleagues who support him AND were willing to put their names on their statements? NBC News left them out of the article.

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) got their scalp when Matt Gaetz dropped out from being Trump's Attorney General nominee. That was their freebie. A line needs to be drawn because if Hegseth goes down to this bullsh*t, RFK Jr. will be next. Then Tulsi Gabbard. Then Kash Patel. And so on.
