There are only two reasons to go to Philadelphia. One is to run up the Rocky steps. The other is to see how many cheesesteaks you can devour over a weekend. My record is five.

Sadly, like many progressive cities where progressive voters keep reelecting the same failed progressive politicians promoting the same failed progressive policies, crime is so out of control that it's not even safe for tourist gluttony anymore. One iconic cheesesteak landmark has been forced to hire armed guards for the protection of its customers.

Jim's West Steaks is hands down the best. Ishkabibble's is up there. Pat's and Geno's are fun to hang at. But Jim's is #1. CFO Saul Landers wants you to know that when you are there, you're protected. "Our lines are down the block, so while you're standing here in line, connecting with other people you may not know, we have security right here just to keep you guys safe.

Co-owner Cortez Johnson adds, "The violence has spiked. It goes up and down. You want people to feel safe and be safe. So when they come out and eat, they don't have to worry about no type of harm."

Crime has gotten so bad in Philadelphia, that Mexico is using video of the Philly streets to warn citizens about similar happening to their streets. Yes. The Philly so strung out on fentanyl is being used as a warning for the country the fentanyl is coming from.

One of the more vicious crimes saw eight minors between the ages of 11 and 14 brutally beating a 33-year-old woman. According to CBS News, the woman was initially knocked to the ground, and the suspects proceeded to stomp and kick her until she went unconscious.

Thankfully unlike other progressive cities that want to keep citizens vulnerable by not letting them exercise Second Amendment rights, you can obtain a concealed carry license in Philly (for now). A fourteen-year-old was able to save his mother from being choked to death. Others have been able to protect themselves from carjackings that could have gone in the other direction had the thug been the only one armed.
