Here at LwC we make a clear distinction between "moderate" Muslims and terrorists. Obviously not all Muslims decide to Bin Laden it up. Some prefer prayer beads to suicide vests. And some prefer their women lightly beaten as opposed to mauled to death. You know - shaken, not stirred. That sort of thing. Waaay different.

Speaking of which, Canada is a great example of Islam in moderation. One such mildly Islamic politician is currently pushing an anti-Islamophobia bill. Apparently she has some ties to Islam's sexist oppression herself...

In 2014, the Muslim Student's Association of York University handed out a book condoning wife beating. A former President of the same student organization [Iqra Khalid] is now pushing a bill to make Islamophobia illegal in Canada.

According to this, there's a distinction between slave beating and wife beating. In this case, one must let the power of one's love gently guide their fist to the wife's face. Because wives can feel the weight of their husbands' love by how well they pack a punch... Or something.

These are the sorts of materials being handed out on campuses in Canada. Iqra's club thought it necessary to educate their peers via "Allah's Guide to Wife Beating." So moderate and generous of them.

I know, Islam's sexist ways are hardly news. Here's why it matters. The gal who was head of the club passing out these woman-hating books is currently a Canadian politician... Who's currently attempting to force Canadians to adhere to her pro-Islamic standards.

Canada stripping citizens of their rights? Also not a new thing. Canada sucks. But take note of the pattern we're seeing among moderate Islam. We're finding time after time that "non-extremists" are directly tied to extremism...

Imagine if Christians (or any non-Muslims) were distributing "How to Commit Domestic Abuse 101" books? That's a big no-no. There would be national outrage in allegedly feminist Canada. In fact, you don't have to imagine the difference between treatment of Christians and Muslims. We see it regularly. Read Elementary School Calls Cops on Student... For Handing Out Bible Verses?! Meanwhile, this? Perfectly permissible.

We've also seen the investigative ability of the left when it comes to digging up dirt on people they disagree with. Alas, it would seem those efforts are reserved for non-Muslims only. There's been nary a leftist eyelash batted at Islamic sexism.

Oh well. Chalk it up to cultural difference. Lest ye be branded an ISLAMOPHOBE!
