Politico Flat-Out Fabricates Story about Ben Carson and West Point. The Truth...
Today Politico claimed that Ben Carson claimed he'd been admitted to West Point, and that Carson had "come clean" to Politico about it, "admitting" he'd lied about it...
Ben Carson’s campaign on Friday admitted, in a response to an inquiry from POLITICO, that a central point in his inspirational personal story was fabricated: his application and acceptance into the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Except Ben Carson's Campaign has just told Politico its pants are on fire, and they're setting ablaze the internet with lies so egregious, even Bill Clinton is taking feverish notes. From the Carson campaign:
Ben Carson was introduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC Supervisors. They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC. He considered it but in the end did not seek admission. There are “Service Connected” nominations for stellar High School ROTC appointments. Again he was the top ROTC student in Detroit. I would argue strongly that an Appointment is indeed an amazing full scholarship. Having ran several Congressional Offices I am very familiar with the Nomination process.Again though his Senior Commander was in touch with West Point and told Dr. Carson he could get in, Dr Carson did not seek admission.
The Politico story is an outright Lie. Dr. Carson as the leading ROTC student in Detroit was told by his Commanders that he could get an Appointment to the Academy. He never said he was admitted or even applied.
The campaign never “admitted to anything”
This is what we have come to expect from Politico.”
If this is true, this is a huge deal. Or at least it should be. But with the current state of media, who's to say?
So when people claim Carson is a sissy, when they say he's an "idiot," when they try to discredit him or mock him for Carson's attack on media bias (which he did this morning on CNN), remember this little gem from Politico. It's a lie. The Politico pulled a false story from the deepest cavities of their collective rectums then crapped it out on the net, hoping the trolls of the inter webs would do what they do best: take it, believe it, and spread it like an STD. Worse, they do so without remorse.
Except there are enough credible people out there (ahem) who aren't going to let this storm of fecal-splatter spread. Dr. Carson has no need to lie about his beginnings, his middles nor his stellar career as a saver of babies and dissecter of noggins. Now nobody's saying the guy's perfect, but it's precisely because of that stellar career, the media is desperate to find anything at all to smear him. Remember Romney and the employee with cancer? And the dog on the top of the car?
This is what the left does. When they can't make "racist" or "homophobe" or "dog-hater" stick, they just make crap up. This is the state of American media.
