2020 was supposed to be a great year for progressives. Voters would deliver them and their agenda an overwhelming mandate. If you take away the presidential race (still in dispute), voters did deliver an overwhelming mandate. They overwhelmingly said they think progressives and their agenda have all the appeal of smoldering dog feces. Republicans gained seats in the House and are on target to hold the Senate. Leftists didn't flip a single state legislature. They even lost ground in California and the Northeast. Rough night, one you could easily blame on the policies that leftists rallied behind (see CHUCK SCHUMER MAY HAVE COST DEMOCRATS THE SENATE MAJORITY RANTING ABOUT GEORGIA and CLUELESS NANCY PELOSI SAYS SHE 'WON THE WAR' AFTER LOSING OVER TEN SEATS IN THE HOUSE).

Some progressives, led by Rashida Tlaib, appear to want to place the blame somewhere else and are lashing out at centrist Democrats.

Only a few days after the presidential race was called, Tlaib and other progressive leaders are making it clear there will be no honeymoon for Joe Biden. They have their own takeaways from the election: Top progressive groups are circulating a post-election memo that criticizes centrists for playing into Republicans' "divide-and-conquer racism."

Ah, yes. It's not the anti-cop rhetoric. Or the if you're not with us, you're a racist sexist homophobe rhetoric. It's not telling people you're going to make their cost of living more expensive. Or that you are going to regulate every aspect of their lives in the name of social justice. It's that progressives didn't go hard enough into the paint forcing their agenda down voters' throats. The answer for progressives is to triple down on what has already cost them. If you just accuse people who disagree with you of racism more better than you did before, the voters will totally rally behind that!

Hearing the left will deny Biden a honeymoon — if he's elected president — is amazing. I already can't wait for 2022.
