Purposely calling someone by the “wrong,” or otherwise probably correct, gender pronoun could lead to two years in jail as it may be treated as a hate crime under a Labour government, according to the Daily Mail.

Labour would make verbal “attacks” motivated by “hatred” of the victim's gender identity into “aggravated offenses”.

Under the law, this would be looked at in line with assault motivated by hatred on the grounds of race or religion.

Because you know, it is up to the UK government to tell you what is and is not okay for you to think. And you are not allowed to hate anyone anymore because of some “phobia” I think. Or was it some “ism?”

A senior Tory source said: “Some police forces have shown themselves overzealous in the pursuit of supposed hate crimes and this reform would send them a signal to go even further. We've seen people arrested for misgendering but this isn't enough for Labour – they want them locked up for two years.”

I cannot comprehend that people actually get arrested for “misgendering” or in other words, speaking the truth. But that is what happens when your ideology is based on nothing but lies. In a tyrannical country, truthful thoughts are a crime.

Caroline Ffiske from Conservatives for Women said: “Thousands of women dispute the notion of 'gender identity' and particularly the idea that it should be prioritized over biological sex. We have serious and legitimate concerns over being expected, in the workplace, when using public services, or in private life, to refer to a man as 'she/her'. Is there a risk with this policy that a woman could be accused of harassment for correctly sexing a man and then for that to be treated as an aggravated offense?”

It is unclear how this law will be enforced. But it seems that has not been a problem thus far.

According to the Daily Mail, a Christian preacher was convicted of harassing a man by calling him a 'man' and a 'gentleman'. David McConnell was given a 12-month community order for allegedly leaving the man emotionally distraught after an argument between the two while he was preaching on a street.

Again, the left cannot have you speak the truth because they wholeheartedly try to convince you that lies are truthful.

In another incident, Kate Scottow –self-described as a 'radical feminist' – was convicted of malicious communications for Twitter messages directed at a transgender activist, including referring to the activist as a “pig in a wig.”

A simple statement like “pig in a wig”, which I do not doubt is even true, can get you convicted of malicious communications. What does that even mean? You are not allowed to communicate anymore if it is hostile?

That seems a bit ambiguous to me.

Speech is the expression of thought, and by the government essentially controlling thoughts, they are basically saying your mind does not belong to you. You cannot even think a certain way, or else that might get you two years in jail.

This is what the left dreams about doing in America. By claiming that hate speech is literally violence, they hope you will give up your free speech rights altogether.

Ironically, these are the same people who claim that free speech inhibits their freedom.

Hate speech laws are nothing more than a tyrannical attempt to control your mind.

The public opinion of the loud mob should not dictate one's rights.

However, according to progressives, it does not matter if your thoughts arise from fact-based criticism. You know, because the whole gender-bender nonsense is a lie. Which is why they need to control public thought.
