Are we past the point where we have to qualify any criticism of the left with "but Nazis and White Supremacists are douchebags?" Because this email from liberal think tank ProPublica, sent to some conservative sites, shows we are back to our regularly scheduled programming of "all conservative people are racists and must be kilt" kind of flim flam.

I am a reporter at ProPublica, a nonprofit investigative newsroom in New York. I am contacting you to let you know that we are including your website in a list of sites that have been designated as hate or extremist by the American Defamation League or the Southern Poverty Law Center. We have identified all the tech platforms that are supporting websites on the ADL and SPLC lists.

We would like to ask you a few questions:

1) Do you disagree with the designation of your website as hate or extremist? Why?

2) We identified several tech companies on your website: PayPal, Amazon, Newsmax, and Revcontent. Can you confirm that you receive funds from your relationship with those tech companies? How would the loss of those funds affect your operations, and how would you be able to replace them?

3) Have you been shut down by other tech companies for being an alleged hate or extremist web site? Which companies?

4) Many people opposed to sites like yours are currently pressuring tech companies to cease their relationships with them - what is your view of this campaign? Why?

Our deadline is 5pm EST [yesterday].

This is where we are. Yes, Nazis are terrible people who probably double-dip at parties. Then purposely tweet Games of Thrones spoilers. The rub is the left is now claiming any website they disagree with (and who disagrees with them) is akin to white supremacist sites on the internet. It's Literally Hitler with cat gifs or something.

Actually, wait. They've been doing that for years. Now they're just getting more brazen with the threats to blacklist, demonitize, and otherwise ostracize (hey, rhymes!) those they've deemed "hateful."

Also, about the Southern Poverty Law Center:

If ever there was a group we should never take cues from, it's the SPLC. Taking their advice is like asking PETA for help on your prime rib. Or consulting BuzzFeed for marriage advice. Stop.

Leftists are actively trying to shut down any opposing viewpoint (see Google Fires Employee Who Penned Diversity Critical Memo. They’re an Internet Super Power… and Facebook Deletes Tens of Thousands of Posts for “Hate Speech.” Hires More Snowflakes…). After the last week, it's only going to get worse. Brace yourselves.

We shouldn't combat them by yelling louder, but by calling them out for exactly what they're doing, then fighting back with smarter tactics.
