Watch: There is No Trump Buyer's Remorse! Why the New Poll Numbers are a Psyop...
The media claims voters are turning on Trump, but that could not be further from the truth. Today’s show breaks down what the numbers really say.
According to ABC, “Trump has the lowest 100-day job approval rating of any president in the past 80 years.”
Anywhere from 57% to 67% of Americans said they disapprove of Trump's performance on six of seven issues tested in this survey, including at least 6 in 10 on his handling of stock market volatility, tariffs, foreign relations and the economy overall.
Fewer, 53%, said they disapprove of his handling of immigration.
"He ran on immigration. The majority of Americans supported deportation, supported closing the border, and thought that Biden was awful on the border. The majority of Americans thought that Trump and Republicans were better on the border than Biden and Democrats. But, for some reason, in his first 100 days, where he has laser-focused and actually started deporting people, [leading to] record-low number of border apprehensions—he’s doing worse?” Crowder said.
According to ABC, 48% of those polled believe Trump is going too far on deporting illegal immigrants, while 16% believe he is not going far enough, and 34% believe he is "handling it about right." So, in other words, 50% support these deportation efforts.
People said they trust him over the Democrats in Congress to handle the nation's main problems by 37%-30%.
"So, this one poll that everyone is sitting, has him at his lowest in 80 years, but immediately you know it can’t be trusted on immigration,” Crowder said. "It's not the lowest in 80 years, it just shows you that there is an all-time low amount of trust in our institutions.”
Mark Mitchell of Rasmussen claims that, "Trump’s approval numbers can't be trusted because [pollsters] don't know how to poll Trump supporters."
Rasmussen was one of the more accurate pollsters in the 2024 election, while Ipsos, the one claiming Americans have buyer's remorse, was far behind.
"This is the perfect example of the media trying to manipulate public opinion using polls to try and sway [voters] because they believe in the power of the mob," Crowder said. “None of this makes sense when you examine it slightly deeper than surface level.”
