I’m not one to blame violence in movies, television, and video games for young people acting out violently, but that doesn’t mean we can’t joke about it, right? I mean, it was only a handful of days ago that Will Smith decided to exercise his limp wristed pimp hand on Chris Rock (who took it like a boss, might I add), and now we have some little punk doing the same thing? That cannot be just a coincidence!

Now, the kid running track obviously wasn’t expecting some punk to run up behind him and slap him, but he crumpled into a little ball. He certainly takes a hit just about as well as Will Smith takes a joke—or should I say, just about as well as Jada Pinkett Smith takes a joke before sicking her well-trained, broken-spirited little dog on the mean joker.

However, if this track kid’s jaw was as resilient as Ben Shapiro’s ego, he would have laughed in the punk’s face and still won the event. I’m just saying, he has some room for improvement, guys.

Assaults during track meets are something new, though. Last I checked, the worst thing that occurred during these events was some boy thinking he was a girl stealing trophies from girls’ events and getting applauded for doing so. I’m seeing a weird connection here… Trans kids receive trophies for robbing girls of the glory they’ve rightfully earned, and Will Smith receives a standing ovation minutes after smacking the hell out of Chris Rock… Our country just rewards terrible behavior.

This is just what our culture is becoming, but what exactly did we expect would happen? Music, television, and Hollywood glorify uncouth behavior. It doesn’t make anyone do anything, but when you have people who defend those actions, people who are rewarded for those actions, it’s only a matter of time before some already ignorant little punks decide, “What the hell. Why not?”
