Last year, Putin said that the West—including America—was turning its back on God, and that it was opting for the ‘path to degradation’. Here's the exact quote

Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values… Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan.

That’s right. Putin—the leader of, historically, one of the largest communist and atheist nations in the world, told the West that we were turning our backs on God. Think about that for a moment. Putin is lecturing us. Holy Samovar, batman.

It wasn’t that long ago that Reagan accused Russia of being Godless. He said about Russia:

Yes, let us pray for the salvation of all of those who live in that totalitarian darkness—pray they will discover the joy of knowing God.

Now, it's completely flip-flopped. Russia was not only atheist, they were aggressively atheist. By some estimates, before the end of the Cold War, the USSR killed over 12 million Christians. Doesn't seem like they plan on applying a gentle-touch to their newly-found Christianity either.

Ironic isn’t it? The USA, once seen as bastion of Christianity around the globe is being faulted with having turned its back on God. By a country that may have killed more Christians than any other in modern history.

Regardless of where you line up on the gay marriage issue, or abortion, Russia knows exactly where they line up. And for the first time in their history, their reasonings are at least in part, faith-based. Let me clarify that just because Russia now claims to be 'Christian', it doesn't absolve them of their consistent violation of human rights. Also, Putin's an ass. I don't like him. I'm not endorsing him. It is because of that reason that I become irate at the idea of this jackass watching our President drape the people's house in a gay light-show, snickering with vodka in hand, muttering.

"I always knew that man was the gay."
