For those of you who wanted to be a fly on Rand Paul's wall yesterday, wonder no more. After Tuesday's explosive report from The Intercept, the one that calls into question how C*VID-19 started and how much Anthony Fauci may be responsible, you knew the senator from Kentucky would have thoughts. The bad news is, as long as Joe Biden is in power, nothing is going to happen to Fauci. The good news is that Rand Paul isn't going to shut up about it.

[Lying to Congress] is a felony punishable by five years in jail. ... I don't think Biden's Department of Justice will do anything with it, but yes, it is very dangerous to have public officials who we need to have trust in coming and lying to us. But he has lied dozens of times. Usually he tells us that it's for our own good.

Two things need to happen. I don't think we're going to get any more public beatdowns of Fauci by Rand Paul until we do. The first is we need Republicans to take control of the House and the Senate in order to start investigating Fauci. The second is that upon electing Republicans, we have to count on them actually doing what they were elected for. That's the hard part. We need to cut a deal on that one. We agree to vote Republicans into power with the belief they are going to do to Fauci what they've been saying they will while in the minority. We'll also start the recall process five seconds after they waffle on full hearings into the Wuhan Lab theory and how much Pope Tony is responsible for it.

I think that's a fair deal.
