Remember all those recently released Gitmo detainees? Of course you do. Obama practically sprung their cell door locks with glee. They were in GitMo for a pretty good reason: killing Americans. So if, like us, you thought Obama skipping to release them was a bad idea, get in line. Because as it turns out, freeing the terrorists didn't go so well then. More (as in ADDITION TO) prisoners are using their newfound freedom to return to the battlefield...

Two more prisoners who were released from the Guantanamo Bay detention center in the first six months of the year have returned to the battlefield, the White House said Wednesday.

A report from the Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) revealed that nine people who have been released from Guantanamo have rejoined militant groups since President Barack Obama took office in 2009, according to Reuters.

A brief recap: Warlords and terrorists get locked up in Guantanamo Bay. After they're captured for doing terroristy things like blowing people up, chopping off heads, burning innocent people alive. Or the aiding and abetting of said estimable people. A lovely bunch, these terrorists. Obama, as is the case with most liberals, got an upset tummy when thinking of these people sitting behind bars. Why? One man's "terrorist" is another man's "freedom fighter." Islamic nations have been oppressed by the West. They have grievances. It's probably mostly Israel's fault anyway. Plus, being in prison? It's simply not fair. And how are we going to get these terrorist nations to like us and be our BFFs if we keep their minions in prison, hmmm?

So Obama waved his wand and *poof* prisoners walk free. What do said prisoners do with their freedom? Hint: they're not checking in with parole officers or attending anger management classes. But nice guesses.

Instead, they chose to return to their terrorist ways (see UPDATE: More Gitmo Detainees Returning to the Battlefield Than Ever...). Insert lazy sarcastic comment of your choice here.

Told you so, told you so.

Ahmed and Muhammad Mohhammed here weren't popped for pot. They were not imprisoned for misgendering a tranny at a bar, either. That only happens in New York. These prisoners are terrorists. They're actively killing infidels. They're at war with the West, for the simple reason of hatred. Read ISIS Publishes 'Why We Hate the West' Tell-All List. Leftists Ignore It...

But leftists like Obama don't seem to mind the killed-a-bunch-of-people part when it comes to terrorists. Hence the whole stint with wanting to shut down Guantanamo Bay. When in doubt with leftists, always assume "fairness" in some form entered the equation.

Shutting down Guantanamo Bay? I can warm up to the idea, for the sake of efficiency and money-saving, but the alternative to those kicking up their feet at GitMo needs to be more... permanent. Less "Here are the keys, be good, be free," more, "My, my, Ahmed, what a nice rope you have round your neck." Something more like that. Ideas.

Western society net benefit here? Zero. Obama granted Gitmo inmates freedom, meanwhile America received... A big fat goose egg. For now. Later someone might encounter a deficit. Perhaps a loss of head. But hey, at least Obama can sleep at night with a conscience cleared of the horrors of having punished some bad guys. Who Israel or Western society may (or may not) have one time oppressed.
