The biggest question coming from the Parkland school shooting is simply, "how?" How, when more than a few people weren't surprised this specific shooter did this, was this allowed to happen? The FBI had a lead they may or may not have followed up on. Now there's this report from CNN. Apparently, police were called to the shooter's home 39 times since 2010.

Thirty-nine times.

Broward Sheriff's deputies were called to the Cruz family home 39 times since 2010, according to documents obtained by CNN. The sheriff's office received a range of emergency calls that included: "mentally ill person," "child/elderly abuse," "domestic disturbance," "missing person." Details of those calls are not immediately available; most of them are marked "no written report," so it's impossible to know if they involved Nikolas Cruz.

For some people, the most important thing they can do right is changing the gender to a partisan doucheburrito. But Cruz's family (and maybe Cruz himself) having a history of bad behavior involving the police, is something for which we should all share outrage. The shooter's classmates basically voted him Most Likely to Shoot Up the School. A YouTuber reported someone, at least with the same name, to the FBI for making threats. Now we hear police had to be called to his house close to 40 times for a variety of reasons. Reasons which didn't include: "advice on how to sew a toilet doily." Allegedly.

Yet celebrities and everyone with mental acumens comparable to turkey basters, are blaming guns. Perhaps maybe, just maybe, we should blame the shooter. While examining how the shooter was allowed to engage in criminal behavior for years, without being formally charged? Just ideas.
