Ricky Gervais hosting the "Golden Globes" has always been controversial, mainly because overly privileged, overly sensitive celebrities dislike it when other people don't revel in their own awesomeness, let alone make jokes at their expense.

Here's his monologue. There's a little in here for everyone, but of course leftists are targeting one joke in general...

“But as I say, I’m gonna be nice tonight. I’ve changed,” Gervais said. “Not as much as Bruce Jenner obviously. Now Caitlyn Jenner of course. What a year she’s had! She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes. She didn’t do a lot for women drivers, but you can’t have everything.”

Such a nothing, throw away joke, right? Pretty harmless? Women drivers? What about the deal with all the airline food? I'm sure he just flew in from England and boy are his arms tired.

It was a simple joke. But of course, clickbait gotta clickbait, so cue the outrage...

Now I know, I know a few of you are going to angrily write me "OMG BUT RICKY GERVAIS MAKES FUN OF CHRISTIANS! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT HIM?!"

See what you're doing? You're doing exactly what bothers you about the Hollywood elites at the Globes. Namely, you're taking offense. Being "offended" has no place in the life of a grown adult. It is for children. Unintelligent children at that. Listen, I'm a Conservative Christian. I disagree with Ricky Gervais on abortion, hunting, the Second Amendment and much, much more. I also think the "The Office" and "Extras" are some of the most brilliant, empathetic works of comedy to have come around in decades. Put simply, Ricky Gervais is brilliant. Sure, not all of his bits are homeruns. But they don't have to be. And you don't have to find him funny. You just have to understand that he's a comedian. If you don't like it, you can move on down the trail.

Unfortunately, leftists, particularly those in Hollywood, are incapable of it.
