Everybody loves pizza. Delightful, crispy crust. Sweet, tomatoey marinara. Topped with the finest mozzarella. But, at a Pizza Hut in North Carolina, they're serving up that and something else. Stone cold justice...extra bullets.

Police in North Carolina say a Pizza Hut employee used his own handgun to shoot and kill one of three armed robbers holding up the store.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said it happened early Sunday at a Pizza Hut restaurant near Interstate 85 in west Charlotte. Detectives say the restaurant was closed and there were no customers inside.

Police say their initial investigation indicates three people entered the restaurant around 1:40 a.m. Sunday and were in the process of robbing it when one of the employees used his personal handgun to shoot one male thief. Police say a handgun carried by the slain robber was recovered at the scene.

The two other suspects ran away and haven’t been captured.

The robber shall henceforth be referred to as the "Pepperoni Perpetrator." Because it sounds funny. If you disagree, you hate America. And pizza. So our villain got a lot more than he bargained for. He probably went in thinking he would get some easy money and maybe an 8-piece order of buffalo wings. Instead, he came out looking like swiss cheese. That's what happens when you pick a fight with the wrong guy. We also call it "karma." It's served hot. With lead.

Thanks Second Amendment!

That's the beauty of the Second Amendment. It gives you the right to protect yourself from scumbags, like the Pepperoni Perpetrator (read Thanks Second Amendment! 72 Yr Old Drops Violent Home Intruder). Self preservation is the most fundamental of rights. It's there so that the good guys can get home safely each night. It also ensures the continued availability of pizza and breadsticks. Brought to you without threat of death. Unless you're the robber.

The situation could have turned out differently. But thankfully our hero was packing more than a onion chopper. If he weren't, it could have been the worker himself who lay there dead. Not exactly a happy ending. Who would step in to bake the pie? Leftists would like to take that right away from law-abiding citizens (watch Hidden Cam Exposes Hillary’s Plan to Push Executive Order BANNING Guns!), giving the bad guys the upper hand.

Sleep well tonight. Armed citizens, like our cheesy crusader, are protecting our lives. And pizzas.
