Quick catch up on the Rockville Rape story: an 18-year old illegal immigrant in a class with 13-14-year-olds, raped a 14-year-old girl (see 14-Year-Old Girl Raped in High School Bathroom By an Illegal Immigrant and Rockville Rapist’s Attorney Questions 14-Year-Old Rape Accuser’s Character). Just when you think you've reached peak justified rage, the Rockville School Superintendent, Jack Smith, played the race card. Against concerned parents. Classy.

I know this tragic incident has become part of a national political debate. I want to remind community members that the lives of real students have been forever affected. While many have chosen to engage civilly in the conversation, far too many have crossed the line with racist, xenophobic calls and emails. MCPS is working with law enforcement to identify those who are making threats toward our students and schools. This behavior will not be tolerated in our community.

Oh, THAT behavior won't be tolerated. An 18-year old in a class with 13 and 14-year-olds, raping one of them in a high school bathroom? Sure, sure, it's frowned upon. But people angry about it? Meh, bunch of racist xenophobic hate mongers. They're the real problem here.

Also, according to Katie Pavlich at Townhall, "nowhere in the email was it mentioned the suspects are in the country illegally, with at least one facing deportation."

You really have to wonder sometimes why leftists are more invested in protecting the feelings of people here illegally, than the lives and safety of legal citizens.

Actually no I don't wonder. The above statement was but a pitch to my rhetorical musings, illustrating a key point: leftists don't care about anyone who doesn't fall under the "victim" status. The left is nothing without victims to champion. If everyone did well on their own, there would be zero to petition the government for the addressing of grievances. Democrats would cease to exist if no one needed them. Hence the Democrats and greater leftists' need to keep finding, "championing" and creating more victims. One such group are illegal aliens. They're victims of their circumstance and natural "others" in a majority of legal citizens. Illegals make up a large contingent of the Democrat victim base of support. Ergo the cause of an illegal alien, even if he's a rapist, outweighs the causes of actual Americans. Even a teenage girl whose life will never be the same.

Democrats go about this victim creating/causing/championing all while claiming the lofty mantle of "caring." But what Democrats and leftists really care about is their perpetual government involvement, control, and growth.

This is basic leftism. This is the Democrat Party. Girls and women raped by illegal aliens, Islamists, or Trannies (pick your victim group) shall be sacrificed for the greater cause.
