Another Victim? Woman Makes Disturbing New Claims About Roman Polanski...
In all the outrage over Harvey Weinstein (see This Actress’s Harvey Weinstein Story is One of The Worst Yet and Video: Courtney Love Warned Us About Harvey Weinstein…in 2005!), lot's of people have been asking "Well what about Roman Polanski?" He's why so many of us roll our eyes at Hollywood in the first place. In case you're not familiar, Polanski is a director who raped a 13-year old in the '70s, and fled the country WHERE HE STILL IS TODAY, and the rest of Hollywood has continued giving him applause and standing ovations.
That might get harder to do now that there's been yet ANOTHER accusation. This one is a tad different though.
Instead of a 13-year old, this girl was only ten.
AN ARTIST has accused movie director and convicted child rapist Roman Polanski of taking photos of her naked on a deserted beach wearing an open fur coat before sexually molesting her when she was just 10-years-old.Speaking for the first time, Marianne Barnard said she was inspired to tell her harrowing story of abuse by actress Rose McGowan and all the other women who had come forward and made allegations about shamed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
She has now launched a petition to have disgraced film director Polanski - who is currently on the run from the US authorities in Europe after raping a 13-year-old girl in the seventies - removed from the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
And she told Sun Online she hopes by breaking her silence she will encourage more abuse victims to come forward and is taking part in a campaign on social media called #SilenceIsTheEnemy.
Now it's important to be... I don't want to say "fair," but maybe "charitable?" This is just an accusation made via Twitter. Even a sleaze bag like Polanski deserve his due process and day in court (see Kesha Claims Rape With No Proof. Feminists Protest Due Process...).
He'd just have to return to America to get it.
