Ron DeSantis is having himself quite the week. I'm not saying he's running for president. But IF he were running, one of the biggest hurdles candidates have is being able to handle the national stage. A lot of candidates tweet a good game. But they melt under the national spotlight. DeSantis has shined twice: fighting COVID and in his new battle defending parents and children against Disney. He joined Guy Benson of Fox News Radio to discuss the Mouse and all the other things.

DeSantis is NOT running for president. Though, unprompted, he did make a point to compare himself to the person who is president, President Joseph Robinette Brandon.

"...the contrast between a doddering, quasi-senile president who has to have his press team clean up his remarks after every time he opens his mouth versus somebody like me who’s out there — I’m very direct, I say what I mean, I mean what I say, I lead and I get things done."

DeSantis is referencing President Brandon's overseas trip where he almost brought us to WW3 on three different occasions, needed his White House to clean up his mess, then claimed none of it happened. I believe what DeSantis is implying is that if he was President, and we have no indication he's thinking of running, but if he WAS president he'd have a more coherent message while addressing the world. Also, being over thirty years younger, the "doddering" and "senility" isn't a concern.

But again, Ron DeSantis, America's Governor, is not running for president. In 2022. I'm going to start popping popcorn now so that I have it on reserve should he choose to run in 2023.
