A racist scumbag in Jacksonville killed three people because of the color of their skin. Jacksonville is in Florida, and you knew corporate journalismers were going to line up to blame Ron DeSantis for it. He's running for president, the mainstream media prefers his lead opponent (who buys them steak dinners), and the media has proven time and time again how much they suck at life. But attacking DeSantis for calling a racist killer a "scumbag" is a rather odd flex.

Here are DeSantis's original comments.

Media had their marching orders. Because the NAACP had to issue a travel advisory that Florida was unsafe for black people (even though the chairman lives in Florida) due to the governor thinking African-American history should be about history and not who is banging who, DeSantis is totes responsible for the killings. Scumbags at the Associated Press and NBC News were so predictable in their journalisming, it's difficult to get outraged.

MSNBC's Trymaine Lee and Andrea Mitchell aren't offensive as much as eye-rolls worthy. Lee made the comment. Mitchell didn't correct him or push back, and if you don't denounce someone that means you endorse them. I don't make the rules. Media outlets like MSNBC do.

It was wrong to call the racist killer a scumbag because *checks notes* it "places the onus on one individual and the actions of one individual as opposed to a nationwide sickness of White supremacy in this country and the violence it fuels.”

“There are all these other forces that are contributing to this kind of violence, but as long as it’s the act of one individual, it’s just a scumbag, then you don’t take the true issue head-on.”

Those other "true" issues are that DeSantis and other conservatives support policies that are contrary to Democrat ideology, and any opposing viewpoint from a progressive is RAAAAAAAAACIST. White supremacy, whiteness, White Lion, etc.

The left is attacking Ron DeSantis for calling a racist killer a scumbag. Because it means DeSantis is placing the blame for the murders on the murderer who killed people. Don't let anyone tell you cable news is useless!
