Ron DeSantis is running for president. Maxwell Frost is America's first zoomer congressman. Hayley Williams is both the lead singer of Paramore and someone who is determined to ruin music for me.

Williams -- I didn't know Paramore was still together let alone touring -- discovered this week how easy it is to get media attention by attacking conservatives on stage. To show how not scared she was to discuss politics, she told fans if they vote DeSantis they are dead to her. Last night Williams upped the ante in Washington DC by inviting Rep. Frost out.

After claiming her audience is the future, Frost lashed out at his state's governor.

As a GenXer, the only generation that doesn't suck (though millennials are waking up), you might need a Zoomer to English translation. Here goes:

The Future: Low-information voters who think Ron DeSantis passed a law that makes it illegal to say the word "gay" in Florida. And that when elected president, he will ban America from saying the word "gay."

Fascism: Telling parents if they feel books about tasting vagina slime, how to give a handy to make someone cum, or read a graphic novel showing two dudes f*cking in explicit detail is crucial to their development, that parent can go on Amazon.com and have the book by tomorrow. But it's inappropriate to provide in a school library, not unlike rated-R movies or copies of Hustler.

But look, liberals and celebrities and the media lie about conservatives and legislation all the time. There are people who still think conservatives made it illegal to hand out water. This happens every election. It's what liberals and celebrities and the media do.

I'm more concerned about the music. This is now the second time a band I didn't know still existed has made national news. Other bands from the genre are going to notice "Hold up, if I attack Ron DeSantis people will remember me?"

Next is going to be the lead singer of Yellowcard complaining Florida's illegal immigration reforms are too mean to illegal immigrants. The Starting Line will host a benefit for a teacher who couldn't discuss his sex life in front of his kindergarten class. New Found Glory will release a single called "DUHsantis."

All I ask is that you leave me Taking Back Sunday. I know they disagree with me on everything, their guitarist shares Instagram stories saying so. But they have a new album coming out this year I need them to focus on.
