Dave Rubin kicked off Pride Month by traveling to Florida to have a conversation with Ron DeSantis. It was an odd decision. According to the White House and corporate media, Florida just passed the "Don't Say Gay" law, which literally bans people from saying gay, literally. Rubin, who is gay, was entering enemy territory. But he faced the challenge head-on with a beautiful and brave act of civil disobedience. He said "GAY" right to Ron DeSantis' face.

America's Governor laughed it off. Because this whole controversy is and has always been stupid.

This was the first time DeSantis went into detail about the controversy. To recap, Florida passed a "Parental Rights in Education" bill that banned pushing sex and gender education on kids. Not all kids. Only kids in third grade and younger. Older than that, it had to be "age-appropriate." Ultra-woke leftists want to sexualize all kids. They turned it into a gay thing and launched a disinformation campaign calling it the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

Even though, the bill didn't say gay. What it did say is that, in elementary school in Florida, teachers couldn't do things like give homework assignments asking kids to rate how uncomfortable anal sex is. Or have kindergarten students draw pictures of where the safest place in their house is to masturbate. Ron DeSantis and anyone who is a decent person thinks those things are wrong. The left in this country thinks those things are a-okay.

But the ordeal became less about the legislation and more about how governors need to fight back when the left and the media (but I repeat myself) lie about legislation. This was the "Don't Say Gay" bill. Before that, it was the "Don't Say Jim Crow" bill where there was a coordinated disinformation campaign against Georgia voting reforms. We were told Republicans wanted to bring back Jim Crow, and told that by the president of the United States himself.

As last week's Georgia primaries showed us, it was horsesh*t. Per America's Governor:

"When [the left and the media] are lying and they're accepting these phony narratives, just think what happened last year when Georgia did their election integrity law. You had a massive hysteria by corporate media by the left [demagoging] the bill. They equated it to 'Jim Crow.' You had Major League Baseball move the all-star game out of Atlanta. And so we've now had our first election in Georgia under the new law. There was a record voter turnout. So, they were lying about the Georgia bill. Anyone who read it would know. I think when they're accepting these false narratives, especially if it's about people in my state, we have a responsibility to fight back."

The left will always lie about any challenge to their agenda, knowing they can count on the media to swear by it. DeSantis laid out the blueprint for other states to follow. God willing, it will be the blueprint the country follows in 2024.
