Rumble responds to UK demand they demonetize Russell Brand in 'second greatest FU delivered to the British from America'
Rumble has continued showing how it's done with their response to the UK GOVERNMENT demanding the platform demonetize Russell Brand. Shout out to my boy Brandon Morse from Redstate, because these are some quality bars calling it "the second greatest FU document delivered to the British from America."
As you're aware, Brand was accused of sexual assault. We've seen this before, and contrary to what some critics on the Right say, none of us are "claiming" Brand as our own. These are serious accusations that should be investigated. They're also serious accusations that no one in the media would care about had Russell not fallen out of favor with the Left.
The problem is any investigation is hampered by what is clearly a coordinated media hit piece. Complete with a trove of sudden "resurfaced" videos of Brand on talk shows being sexual. My favorite was actress Kristen Bell WARNING Brand not to "try anything." SPOILER: She was joking around on the Forgetting Sarah Marshall press junket.
All we have is that Brand is accused of doing something bad. That was all YouTube needed to demonetize his channel, even though it had nothing to do with his content. And even though, like with corporate media, YouTube wouldn't have done this if Brand still supported the progressive narrative.
The UK Government wrote a letter to Rumble demanding they do the same: "We would be grateful if you could confirm whether Mr. Brand is able to monetize his content, including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him. If so, we would like to know whether Rumble intends to join YouTube in suspending Mr. Brand’s ability to earn money on the platform."

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski said to demonetize deez nuts: "We regard it as deeply inappropriate and dangerous that the UK Parliament would attempt to control who is allowed to speak on our platform or to earn a living from doing so. We don’t agree with the behavior of many Rumble creators, but we refuse to penalize them for actions that have nothing to do with our platform.”
This part is key: “Although it may be politically and socially easier for Rumble to join a cancel culture mob, doing so would be a violation of our company’s values and mission. We emphatically reject the UK parliament’s demands."The UK wanted to know if Rumble would behave like YouTube was doing. Rumble responded.
Yet another reason why we're all happy to be part of the team.
