A San Francisco illegal immigrant was reported to ICE. Because it's a sanctuary city, it was illegal for the immigrant to be reported in the first place. This being America, the ILLEGAL immigrant was awarded a huge settlement.

Because, you know, California is hell.

San Francisco taxpayers could soon pay $190,000 in a lawsuit settlement with an undocumented immigrant who claimed he was reported to federal immigration authorities in violation of the city’s sanctuary city ordinance, the City Attorney’s office confirms to KPIX5.

Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno walked into the police station on December 2, 2015 to recover his stolen car. When he left the station, he was immediately taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

So an illegal immigrant was driving on the streets. Then felt comfortable enough to go retrieve said stolen car from the police. Let that sink in.

A document from federal immigration authorities released by his attorneys indicates that a San Francisco police officer directly contacted ICE and told them where to find Figueroa-Zarceno, the man’s attorneys and representatives said Wednesday.

Because a police officer is supposed to police people. Including illegal immigrants who break the law. By being here illegally.

The apparent incident, which led to the two-month detention of Figueroa-Zarceno, could be a violation of Sanctuary City policies placing limits on local law enforcement’s ability to cooperate with immigration officials, according to his attorneys.

Think about this for a second, and I'm sorry the dude had his car stolen, but meh. A city is going to pay a criminal... for reporting him as a criminal to the proper authorities, in this case ICE. Now multiply San Francisco's crappy policies times the United States. Welcome to Nancy Pelosi's wet dream. A dream had by every other leftist sitting in their ivory towers far from the actual citizens who have to deal with these policies.

So when we say we need to defeat the left, not reach across the aisle to hold their hands and read their palms, this story is why. There is no middle ground here. The left wants open borders. The right does not. These noxious ideas need to be defeated, not expanded.

Also, illegal immigrants are criminals. Deport them all.
