Leftists had some pretty embarrassing response to Trump's SOTU (see ACLU Complains Trump Used the ‘Word’ America Too Much in His SOTU Address. About America… and MSNBC’s Joy Reid Blasts Trump’s SOTU Message on “Church” and “Family”). Trump himself was more upset the Democrats didn't celebrate him enough and give him standing ovations. Which he called un-American and "treasonous" at a recent pep rally.

The Press Corps had questions. Sarah Sanders had answers.

REPORTER: If it’s a Democratic president, the Republicans sit, if it’s a Republican president, the Democrats sit. What is so un-American about this, this year, after this has been going on for all of these years?

To be fair, this is a valid question. Congress critters act like five-year-olds no matter who the president is. I also don't find anything funny about a president calling people un-American or treasonous because they didn't clap for him. Not charming. I know some are all "ZOMG he's trolling his haters in the best way possible." But personally, it's a little too third world dictator for my liking.

However, that doesn't mean the Democrats don't piss me off on the regular too. And Sarah Sanders had the perfect response.

SLAAAAAAY KWEEN: I think its un-American not to be excited about the fact that more people in this country have jobs than they did before, the fact that more people in this country have higher wages than they did before, the fact that the economy is booming like it wasn’t before, the fact that ISIS is being crushed like it wasn’t before. These are things that I don’t care what party you are from, these are things that every American should be excited about and be able to celebrate.

File this under "multiple things can be true at once." It can be wrong to call your political opponents un-American for not praising your name. It's also sad and pathetic Democrats don't care about more jobs, less taxes, and a decimated terrorist group. Upon hearing the news, they're stirred to do nothing more than practice their collective resting bitch face.

Especially considering the president Democrats would eagerly applaud royally screwed the pooch. Repeatedly.
