Savannah Guthrie, of NBC New's Today, laid into Nikki Haley, trying to find any kind of dirt on Donald Trump:

“With all due respect,” Guthrie interjected, using the name of her guest’s book, which came out Tuesday. “To borrow a phrase.”

“That doesn’t seem like much of a defense of the president,” she said as she pushed Haley on whether or not Ukrainian aid was held up. “That he might have tried to do those things, but it didn’t work out, so it’s all OK.”

I'm not really surprised or that bothered Savannah Guthrie tried mining Haley for any anti-Trump nugget she could find. Based on her tone and body language, seems Haley expected nothing less. We're talking about a liberal journalist on a liberal network which has made no bones about hating Orange Man Bad. Okay? Okay.

What chaps my hide, to borrow a much older colloquialism, is to see a journalist go after a subject while her and possibly her entire network ignore stories like Epstein. NBC News didn't punt on an Epstein investigation (that we know of), but they did pass on Ronan Farrow's story about Harvey Weinstein. Epstein, at least, was a criminal blackmailer and pedophile who victimized possibly hundreds of underage girls. Seems more of a problem than going after Trump for a phone call. But, you know, Epstein had powerful liberal patrons. Can't dig there, can we?

Proving once more that Donald Trump is right, this is a fake news media. The real news is out there being dutifully ignored.
