Except they're not. Ergo they must go.

A New York school district wants holiday "equality." For reals.

The Levittown school district announced on its website Wednesday that it would no longer reference specific holidays on its printed school calendar.

Levittown Public Schools Superintendent Tonie McDonald said in a statement that “due to the number of holidays celebrated and the fact that our schools are closed on some and open on others, it was decided to eliminate all references to holidays” on the calendar.

So just the references to them, not the celebration of them? I've noticed teachers never, ever give up their holidays. Just want to make clear only the references are being purged.

“In making this decision, we were also mindful of the risk of accidentally omitting any holidays,” McDonald said in the statement.

McDonald received two complaints about the change via email, a spokesman said.

But McDonald said that they’re “mistaken” in thinking the decision was made in an effort to be politically correct, or in response to recent events.

So, you're "mindful of the risk of accidentally omitting any holidays" but this is totes not political. Right, and Amy Schumer is a skinny goddess of purity. Surely you jest.

If a person or persons are offended by a reference to a holiday, send them to run a lap. Or seven thousand laps. People are far too busy getting caught up in the constant offended parade. They clearly have too much time and privilege. People with real problems do not create them to experience more feelings. People with real problems try to solve them. People with real problems do not create more problems.

Holiday references and calendars are not problems. Liberal misery is, as it tries to infect everything around it. And it's largely self-created.
