President-elect Donald Trump has time to kill while he waits to be inaugurated. He's spending it suing media outlets. That is something CNN's Scott Jennings is a-ok with.

ABC News was willing to settle a defamation lawsuit against Trump to the tune of FIFTEEN MILLION DOLLARS. The president-elect has moved on to suing Iowa pollster Ann Selzer and 60 Minutes, alleging fraud and election interference with both. And while CNN is worried about being next, Jennings gets it and understands why Trump's doing this.

The entire English-speaking world was talking about the gold standard pollster, ... what we were told was complete garbage. And if you talked to pollsters at the time, they would’ve told you, “This is not real. This methodology is not good anymore.” But that’s not what people chose to run with because it fit what most people in the press wanted the narrative to be.

This part is key.

I don’t frankly have a problem with it. And if they capitulate, it’s because they don’t wanna go through the discovery and what that might show.

It is "assumed" that the media is biased and works against conservatives based on their reporting and what we see on TV of them being biased and working against conservatives. To truly appreciate how much people who work in media hate the half of the country who has a different opinion than them, you need to see the emails and the Slack channels. How much of what we see is based on emails from Democrat PR firms "suggesting" how the news is covered? ALL OF THAT will show up in discovery when every piece of correspondence becomes viewable to the person suing you.

ABC News didn't settle for $15 million because it was the cost of doing business. They settled because the truth could have cost them nine figures.

These media outlets know how much more damage would be done to the institution if Americans learned the truth about news coverage and who works in media. Trump's knows this too, and he loves suing people almost as much as he loves making America great again.
