Watch: UFC's Sean Strickland (and his gun) shows his is the WRONG house to trespass on: "I thought he was stealing my car"
Imagine you are a domestic abuser on the run from security, and out of all the driveways in Las Vegas to hide out in, you choose UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland's. If anything, the schmuck is lucky Strickland only thought the guy was trying to steal his car. Had the champ known why the guy was in his driveway, the man may have had a sudden loss of balance and found his head smashing against the pavement.
Of course, this is all according to Sean Strickland. He's the one who shared the video from his security cameras, with the caption "POV: WHEN SOMEONE TRIES TO BREAK INTO MY HOUSE."
Strickland says the guy was drunk and "stomping out a girl." Security caught him, and the dude drove off in his car with security in hot pursuit.
Being drunk and driving recklessly, probably because he knew security would stomp him out if caught, the guy hit a curb and shredded his tire. He hopped out of the car, looked for a place to hide, and thought he found the perfect driveway.
Nope.
The fighter shared a photo of the guy's rim on X and claimed he turned himself into the police.
Also, apropos of nothing, he has Conor McGregor's back as Himself goes to war with the Irish government.
Strickland upset former champion Israel Adesanya to win the middleweight title in September. His first title defense will be in January at UFC 297 against Dricus du Plessis.
Besides fight fans, new UFC sponsor Bud Light will be paying extra close attention to the Champ's next fight. Strickland has been very outspoken about the beer's partnership with controversial titface performer Dylan Mulvaney. After his next victory, Strickland promises to "go so hard" that he is going to force Bud Light to address it.
Sean Strickland. The People's Champ that We The Content need right now.
No one really knows what happened to the (alleged) domestic abuser after turning himself in.
