Ever since LGBT paved the rainbow brick road to "self-identity," everybody and their leather-harnessed dog has been coming out and calling for acceptance (Trans-Species? Meet the Grown Men Who Identify as Dogs). There's been human-cats, old men, dragonladies, and now... Vampires.

Darkness Vlad Tepes, who said he had been living as a vampire for 13 years... said he "just wants to be treated like everyone else."

He also [drinks] cow and pig's blood, as well as human blood substitute. Darkness said until recently he had very few problems from other people. However this changed when he went for a drink with friends at a pub in Oswaldtwistle where he said he was openly abused because of the way he dressed.

Yeah, that "abuse" he underwent? Here's the deets...

[He] said: "I went into a pub... and a lad piped up and asked if I was abused as a child when I was young because of the way I look.

Ah, so we're talking about fake abuse (not to be confused with fake rape). That doesn't come as much of a surprise, seeing as man-pires have frightfully thin skin. I imagine it's a part of the whole reanimated corpse deal. Also, self-identifying chaps usually double as professional victims (see Civil Rights? Transgender Teen Sues School Over Restrooms). In other words, all the things count as abuse all of the time. So... Honest questions? ABUSE.

By the way, "Darkness" here can chug a gallon of blood, but feels triggered by words. Let your teeth sink into that.

Vampires, dogmen, and dragonladies aren't new, sure. They've been around for years, scuttling around in the shadows of their mom's basements. But the demand for society's approval? That's a relatively new thing... It's also a leftist thing (read He's Back! Far-Left Salon Asking Sympathy for This Sick Pedophile... Again). The slope has been slipped. There's cow's blood all over the place. Maybe Darkness spilled while bitching about sunlight and crosses.

The ironic part? These self-identifiers abandon all notions of what's "socially acceptable," for lack of caring what society thinks. Because hey, screw conformity and normalness. But at the end of the day - or in this case, night - they must really care about what society thinks of them. Hence the need for tolerance. They've just changed the rules a bit, and rather than these creeps conforming to normal, they'd rather the normal conform to the creeps. See how tolerance really works?

Pro-tip to the crazies: Want to be treated normally? Here's a surefire solution: act normally. Also maybe don't drink blood. You know, because AIDS. And WEIRD.
