The City of Fog has hired a tourism official to encourage travelers to visit San Francisco as progressives continue to wreak havoc and locals are forced to battle rampant crime, homelessness, and an open drug scene.

Josh Beck will be the new president and CEO of the San Francisco Travel Association, as its new hope in bringing travelers back to the City by the Bay.

Beck told the San Francisco Chronicle that his biggest challenge in the role will be reversing the “ongoing narrative about San Francisco as a monolithic experience, when it’s clearly not.”

Anyone with half a brain knows San Francisco is one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

How is this guy going to convince people that it is safe to travel to San Francisco when it is only safer than TWO PERCENT of any city in the county. It is nearly the most dangerous city in the nation.

I agree, it’s not 100 percent accurate because it is much worse than the media purports.

Just to put it into perspective, Compton, California is almost twice as safe as San Francisco, according to the Hoover Institution.

Why would anyone want to visit a place like that?

But what do you expect when progressives that run the city believe that every criminal is a victim, and that they should not be arrested, and that platitudes and a hug will solve everything.

As of August, 473 people have died of overdoses, 385 of them due to fentanyl.

Children watch in horror as people die right in front of them, and San Francisco progressives just stand by like it's a normal Tuesday.

Only progressives can take one of the richest cities in the world, and subject it to conditions that are not even seen in developing countries. Instead of turning people into victims of specific identities entitled to degenerate behaviors, they need to rethink their permissive policies.

San Francisco is the poster child for the progressive path to destruction and no one should ever visit its ‘doom loop.’
