Of all the, if you'll excuse the pun, TRUMPed-up lawfare charges against Donald Trump, the most ridiculous is the New York City "fraud" one. And out of everyone going off about it, none are more angry and articulate than Shark Tank star Mr. Wonderful Kevin O'Leary. He went bananas on CNN again, with another rant people need to listen to.

We covered the legal decision in detail on past shows. There are three key things to know:

1. New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned for office that she was gonna "get Trump."
2. The best she could come up with is accusing him of "fraud" over a bank loan that was paid off with interest and that the bank in question testified they had no issues with.
3. To prove one of O'Leary's points, James has since started to go after business in states she has no jurisdiction over.

This may be great for the attorney general, but this is not good for America. Forget about Trump. You think this is good for business in New York? You think this is good for business in America? To take a law that we use to protect people against buying refrigerators at an overpriced value decades ago, and apply it against an individual and then talk about seizing assets like he was in Venezuela or in Cuba?

There was no fraud here in the context of people actually losing money. Deutsche Bank, who made the loan, was made whole. And let's make a penalty of half a billion dollars against a crime, apparently, where no monies were lost.

There are no half-billion dollar bonds. Never been done before. Never. This law has never been applied.

Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul knows how bad this makes New York look. She wants businesses not to be afraid about doing business in New York. Trump is a unique case in which they were able to use this common thing all developers do as a political attack. So as long as none of you are like Trump: “Law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are businesspeople have nothing to worry about because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”

Question: why should anyone believe Hochul, James, or any Democrat? These are the same people who lied about banning gas stoves and have never met a small business destroying mandate they didn't fondle their private parts over. Now there is precedence that they will accuse you of fraud where there is no fraud, for no other reason than they don't like you politically.

To believe "Trump is very different" means you would have to believe Marxist NY Democrats wouldn't do this to a business owner or investor who much as liked a social media post saying boys shouldn't compete against girls in high school sports or that maybe George Floyd wasn't a good person.

This is who Democrats are. It's best to do business in states that are smart enough not to elect them.
