Authorities said Thursday that two people with ties to the Islamic State have been arrested on terrorism-related charges in California and Texas, including a refugee from Syria who is charged with lying to federal investigators about his travels to the civil war in that country.

The arrests feed a national debate over whether the United States is doing enough to screen refugees from Syria for terrorists from that nation.

Court documents say the men wanted to aid terrorist organizations affiliated with the Islamic State group. A criminal complaint unsealed Thursday accuses that man, Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, 23, of Sacramento, of traveling to Syria to fight and lying to investigators about it. U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner said in a statement that while Al-Jayab was potentially dangerous, there is no indication that he planned any attacks in the United States.

So about the whole meme that Muslim migrants are as soft and fluffy as your childhood pet? Not totally accurate. Does it bring us joy to shove this story in a leftist's face? Well...okay, maybe just a little bit. But it brings us no pleasure knowing we have a lot of undocumented people in this country who might want to blow us up. The point that the right is making is that we currently have no idea as to just who is in this country. There are COUNTLESS Muslim immigrants who have been caught in plots to commit terrorism. San Bernardino? Yeah. The Boston Marathon Bombers? Pretty much.

And we want to bring in more, just because...feelings? Rhetorical question. Because not even all Americans feel the same way. In this case, leftist elitists believe their feelings mean more than yours. What about your safety? Not so much. Sleep tight.
