• TRUTH: It's actually turned out to be 1.8% in the United States, not including asymptomatic and undiagnosed cases. SOURCE: Worldometer
  • The death rate per capita in the United States is 0.162. SOURCE: CovidUSA

• TRUTH: No. Surfaces and are not the main ways COVID is spread. It can only live on cardboard for a few hours. COVID is not airborne. SOURCES: WHO, New York Times

• TRUTH: The countries with the top mortality rates had lockdowns and the states with the highest death rates had lockdowns. SOURCES: JohnsHopkins, Statista
  • In contrast, states like Florida that NEVER had a lockdown are doing well. And Texas, which had far stricter lockdowns, is still performing better than many of the aforementioned blue states.

  • They were against travel bans as an early mitigation method.

• TRUTH: They're doing better than average. Their case fatality rate is 1.8%, the same as the U.S., except they didn't completely destroy their economy. SOURCE: WHO

• TRUTH: No children without pre-existing conditions have died. Child mortality rates are EXTREMELY low, at 3 per 100,000 for children ages 0-4 and 1 per 100,000 for children age 5-14. SOURCES: NBC, NBC, American Council on Science and Health
• CLAIM: Operation Warp Speed will never work! There's no WAY we can have a vaccine within the year! SOURCES: ABC News, CNBC
