- In 6 states, more than half of all baby formula was sold out during the last week of April. SOURCE: CNN
- One man at Target said he was forced to purchase formula from Europe because he couldn’t find it anywhere in the States. This is technically illegal, but parents have been doing this for years. SOURCE: NYTimes

- In February of this year, Abbott voluntarily recalled a host of its products, including certain Similac formulas. The recall was issued after the company received multiple consumer complaints related to Cronobacter sakazakii. 5 infants were hospitalized after consuming formula from their Sturgis, MI facility.
