"Simpsons" producer suddenly realizes how terrible Los Angeles government is when they make him tear down his treehouse
The City of Los Angeles is currently suffering from a zombie apocalypse, and officials have worsened the problem while condoning the degeneracy fueling this epidemic. So rather than focus all its efforts on reducing the homeless population, the city has decided its most crucial fight is to put an end to treehouses that are not permitted to be ADA compliant.
NEW: Simpsons producer Rick Polizzi forced to demolish his 24-year-old Simpsons-inspired treehouse after the city of LA demanded he permit it like a "single-family dwelling."

Yes, you read that right. The city is cracking down on its treehouse enforcement because these people refuse to focus on the real problems.
Rick Polizzi, the animation producer of The Simpsons, was forced to demolish his Simpsons-inspired treehouse in his home after the city bullied him into oblivion.
According to KTLA:
Polizzi, a former producer on the beloved animated series, told KTLA 5’s Andy Riesmeyer late last month that the structure became a community staple and gathering spot for children in his Sherman Oaks neighborhood.
Officials and nearby residents, however, aren’t as fond of the treehouse; legal challenges over permits and zoning have threatened its future. According to Polizzi, he built the treehouse 24 years ago and spent nearly a third of that time in a legal dispute that cost him $50,000 to defend and even led to criminal charges after a neighbor complained about the increased attention the treehouse was drawing.
Last year, the homeless population in the city was estimated to have reached 75,312 people. They also just experienced one of the deadliest wildfires in California history, which was preventable had the city done the bare minimum. It has also suffered from a retail theft epidemic, which has also been a result of progressive priorities.
Rather than do anything and everything to prioritize these crucial issues first, the city has decided to go after a treehouse for reasons that will never be logical.
After going to pre-trial at the beginning of the year, Polizzi came to an unfortunate conclusion: it was time to give up.
“We went to pre-trial [in January, and] it was just so frustrating,” he told KTLA in February. “We did not get to have our say…When we left, I just said ‘I’m not going back to this trial. We’ll tear it down so that the case gets dismissed.’”
One of the permits the city demanded he get was to make the treehouse ADA-compliant. It’s unclear in what world a treehouse could only exist if it was “inclusive,” considering it is in a literal tree on private property, but this is unsurprising.
Los Angeles officials seem determined to transform law-abiding citizens into criminals while ignoring the destruction that has devastated the city. It’s uncertain whether officials have realized that they serve the people and not the reverse, but it seems doubtful, given that public safety appears to be a joke to them. Nevertheless, this is a prime example of progressive priorities, and no one should ever support it.
