Singer Ginuwine Turned Down a TransWoman on Big Brother
As we talk about R&B singer Ginuwine rejecting a tranny on "Big Brother," keep one thing in mind. The singer has a hit song called "Pony." It's less about wanting one as a young boy, more about sexual innuendo. That's Ginuwine. Now you're caught up.
In order to normalize themselves, straight men have to be the freaks for not wanting to date chicks with dicks. A recent topic on "Celebrity Big Brother UK."
In the blue corner, you have Ginuwine. A famous singer. Okay "famous singer." Happy? In case you listen to -- rather than watch -- your music, Ginuwine is the "man of color."
In the pink corner, there's India Willoughby. A journalist. Also, flaming tranny. He's the man with long blonde hair. Tech warning, the audio/video are out of sync. You're not crazy, someone was likely trying to avoid a copyright claim.
The controversy stems from a conversation between Willoughby and the “Pony” singer, in which she asked whether he would date a trans woman. “You would date me, yeah,” Willoughby, who is a trans woman herself, asked. “Not if you were trans,” Ginuwine replied. After Ginuwine replied that he would not date a trans woman, Willoughby attempted to plant a kiss on the singer. When her advance was rejected, Willoughby stormed off.
A bit of an overreaction. Some of us get rejected. Go write sad poetry about it like a normal person. Be a grown up, turn on some Adele.
Twitter has split into two sides. One side is outraged by Ginuwine’s rejection, suggesting his unwillingness to date trans women is transphobic. On the other side, some fans are rallying behind the “In Those Jeans” artist, insisting he has a choice to date whomever he chooses. As it used to be. Some also suggested Willoughby was harassing Ginuwine.
Not it isn't, dolt.
Ginuwine saying he wouldn’t date a trans woman is a preference not discrimination... plus he barely knows the woman… https://t.co/bs6WcIMpjv— Ashley (@Ashley) 1515440795.0
This was harassment. It's clear from the video. Not to mention, borderline assault. If s/he were a man, or a man not pretending to be a woman, and did that to girl, that's sexual assault. People would be tweeting #MeToo. Lambasting the patriarchy. Marching in the streets with rhyming signs. You can't grab by the p*ssy, you can't smack our tushy!
But a tranny does it on a television show, somehow the victim is wrong. Silly me, I thought no meant no*.
Here we are, the dawning of the new transgender movement of militant trannies: date me or else. How lady like.
