Leftist Students Want Veterans Banned from University. Because 'White Supremacy'
Some days, after you read a story like this where a herd of leftist students want to ban veterans from universities, you start to wonder if this whole SJW thing is a false flag created by the Koch Brothers. Because this newsletter, the "Social Justice Collective Weekly," reads like a bad parody.
First off, many veterans openly mock the ideas of diversity and safe spaces for vulnerable members of society. This is directly in contradiction to the mission of UCCS. Many veterans utter the mantra that they, "do not see color". But the problem lies in their socialization into the military culture that is that of a white supremacist organization. They have been permanently tainted, and are no long fit for a four-year university.Second, many students are frightened by the presence of veterans in their classrooms. Veterans usually have an overwhelming presence in the classroom, which can distract other students. This is usually true for vulnerable individuals, such as LGBTQQI2SAA, who have been known to be the butt of insensitive jokes made by veterans.
Finally, veterans usually are associated with extremist right-wing groups, such as the tea party and the NRA. In order to provide a safe place for all students, extremist right-wing groups must be suppressed on campus. This would include their followers: veterans.
Allow me a rebuttal, if you would.
An "overwhelming presence?" I'll translate that from Leftspeak to English for you. Leftists are intimidated. Because vets actually did something with their lives. Instead of taking the leftist path of being professional victims, bumming money off the taxpayers. While striving to fulfill their lifelong dream of opening a combination artisanal bakery and fair trade coffee shop.
The big question? How did leftists equate the fine people of our armed services with white supremacy? It would take Olympic-level mental gymnastics to put that one together. But, I'll take a crack at it. I'm sure it would go something like this:
"America was built on the backs of imported slaves and indigenous brown people. Historically, patriarchal cis-het male soldiers "defended" this racist nation with scary black rifles. Do you know who else likes guns? Southerners. Do you know where all the racists are? The South. Therefore, anyone who enlists in the military is a card-carrying member of the Klan."
Thankfully, the university is having none of this bullhickey. They're not going to allow purple-haired wildebeests with "thyroid issues" to dictate who can enter their classrooms. Vets have zero in common with white supremacy. That's not to say there might not be the odd white supremacist in the military. But, the community as a whole are some of the best people to ever walk on this rock. The only thing they deserve is our respect.
But, good luck trying to convince leftists of that. They're too busy telling vets to screw off.
