#SJW's Now Want Men Banned From Campus For Rape Accusations With ZERO PROOF
Due process is only a thing if you're a woman, or a man who thinks he's a woman. Due process for a man?
"Rape culture" strikes again, only this time you don't even need to have strikes against you, just an accusation. Because "progress."
At a congressional hearing on campus sexual assault, Colorado Rep. Jared Polis (D) suggested that expelling students based solely on the idea that they might have committed a crime is an acceptable standard. And the hearing audience applauded him.
Just the idea that a student has committed a crime is now good enough reason to expel a student. Furthermore, the audience at the hearing applauded. "War on women"? Not so much.
"I mean, if there's 10 people that have been accused and under a reasonable likelihood standard maybe one or two did it, seems better to get rid of all 10 people," Polis said. "We're not talking about depriving them of life or liberty, we're talking about their transfer to another university."
Not depriving them of "life" (because their mothers didn't cut them out of their wombs) or "liberty"? Not sure how that flies, since he's possibly branding these students as "rapists" for the rest of their lives; then Polis casually omits "pursuit of happiness." But we caught it, Polis. It's okay to deny a student their pursuit of happiness if someone accuses him of rape. Dually noted.
"I mean, if I was running one I might say 'well, you know, even if there's a 20 or 30 percent chance that it happened I wouldn't want … I would want to remove this individual,'" Polis said. "Why shouldn't a private institution, in the interest in promoting a safe environment, use an even lower standard than a preponderance of evidence, like even a reasonable likeliness standard?"
To be clear, in the delusional leftist world of Polis, "promoting a safe environment" consists of expelling students without actual evidence that a rape occurred. Is it any wonder that men are opting not to go to college? Is it a surprise that more and more young men are avoiding women, seeing them as toxic and instead retreating to video games? To the SJW leftists, this is another victory, because patriarchy. Penises deserve no justice. To those of us who believe in the constitutional right to due process, it's a frightening precedent.
Side note: where was Polis when President Bill Clinton was assaulting women in the White House? Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Broaddrick? Those were more than just accusations. Maybe Hillary Clinton just did a better job of dragging these women through the mud, while Polis thought the accusations and evidence weren't "proof enough."
Rules don't apply to liberals in office, just young college students who've been accused of something. Because patriarchy and penises.
Or something... I can't keep track anymore. But I'm pretty sure penises are bad. Yeah, let's go with that.
