Leftist 'Slate' Tries Slamming Trump Over #BlackLivesMatter. It Backfires...
Ah Slate. I'm having a hard time deciding what it is Slate dined on most recently. Their own foot, or bird which prefers carrion in its own diet. Slate jumping to racism to stir up caca isn't news. What is news is how, in just three paragraphs, Slate threw themselves and BlackLivesMatter under the Trump Train. Let's open this tale with some context by examining leftist behavior over the past week (see No Cosmo, Republicans Don't Want to Criminalize 'Peaceful' Protests and Crazed Leftists Protest Inauguration by Destroying Businesses). Leftists have been rioting crap-weasels. That's the thru line.
Now read this...
The new White House website went live following Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday, and it contained a bracing message implicitly directed to supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement: Your kind is not welcome in Trump's America.“The Trump Administration will be a law and order administration,” reads a page on the website titled "Standing Up for Our Law Enforcement Community." It continues: “President Trump will honor our men and women in uniform and will support their mission of protecting the public. The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong. The Trump Administration will end it.”
In case it wasn’t clear who and what the Trump administration blames for this “anti-police atmosphere,” the website clarified: “Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter.”
First off, Slate intimates Black Lives Matter is made up of rioting, looting, and violent disrupting. Thereby admitting Black Lives Matter is not peaceful. Catch that? Good.
Now if you read the language from the original source, it is entirely reasonable. That is, supporting of peaceful protesting. NOT violent rioting. Minor differences? Hardly. Lemme break it down for you. Peacefully protesting can involve signs, chants, having a grievance, airing it, etc. Fine and dandy. Even if you come out looking like a giant pussy. I wish I was being metaphorical.
A protest becomes a riot as soon as it is no longer peaceful. Like when a "protester" sets someone's hair on fire. Torches a limo. Destroys property. Harms other people. Are you seeing a pattern here?
I'm sure you saw that 200 something people were arrested at the protests this week. Out of hundreds of thousands. They were arrested for lighting fires and breaking windows. Rioting. Arrested for being violent dingleberries. Not for peacefully protesting.
Therefore if Black Lives Matter wants to avoid trouble with the law... don't break it. Do not riot.
And for those prepping to accuse Donald Trump of fascism... scroll down on that White House article. The administration covers defending the Second Amendment wholeheartedly. You know what fascist dictators don't do? Ensure people have guns. In fact, one of the first steps a dictator takes is to disarm the populace. See also Hillary Clinton. And all liberal Democrats who hate your right to own guns.
I have to say, I wasn't a Trump fan, but this week he's been a damn hero (Sean Spicer notwithstanding). This policy is designed to protect and GIVE freedom to law-abiding citizens. And Slate doesn't think Black Lives Matter is law-abiding. Let that sink in.
