Notice how every time there's a shooting, the left immediately brings up criminal's "ease of access to weapons"? Yeah, what they really means is that it's time for "common sense gun laws." Which is code for stomping all over the Second Amendment. Thus, we encourage people to secure themselves firearms before it gets even more difficult to do so. It looks like some people took our advice to heart.

Smith & Wesson stock opened near an all-time high on Friday after five police officers were killed and seven were injured in a shooting in Dallas. The gunmaker's stock opened at $29.75 a share. [S]tocks for fellow firearm manufacturer Sturm Ruger went up by 5%. Last month, Smith & Wesson announced that its annual profits reached $293.8m, a 50% increase on last year's figures. The increase was attributed to surging gun sales following a wave of mass killings.

Good choice.

In case you haven't noticed, we've been urging people to arm themselves in the wake of these last few shootings (see Dear LGBT Community: Get Yourself Some Guns. Now.). There's two reasons why. No, every leftist and their mother, "being in the pocket of the NRA" isn't one of them. Simmer down. The first reason is obvious: investing in self-defense is always a wise choice. But secondly, the ever-increasing push for gun control keeps rearing its greasy, unkempt head (Leftists Say "Nobody's Coming For Your Guns!" Yes They Are...).

Now, look, guns aren't for everybody. We get that. Just like some people prefer apples to oranges, some people prefer guns to, say... sitting in a corner with their hands over their head, hoping it all goes away. Not unlike a duck. But no judgements.

The point is, it's your choice. You should have the right to pick either option. Because that's how freedom works. Self-preservation. It's a thing.

The left is passionately convinced Americans shouldn't have said right to self-preservation. Or choice. Don't take my word for it, take a gander at any leftist speech, video, or "study" that concerns guns. That's why I breathe a sigh of relief every time there's a significant increase in gun sales. Truth is, I feel safer knowing more citizens are legally armed. You should too. If you don't, reacquaint yourself with the Second Amendment and what it means.
