SNL Women Stand By Their Man, Accused Groper Al Franken
SNL women who used to work with Al Franken, 36 of them, wrote a letter in support of Franken being a grabby bridge troll (see Al Franken Accused of Kissing and Groping Without Consent. It Gets Worse… and Second Al Franken Victim Comes Forward. ‘He Grabbed My…’).
Why does Franken get a pass? He never chased them with outstretched hands. Let that stew in your noggin:
We feel compelled to stand up for Al Franken, whom we have all had the pleasure of working with over the years on Saturday Night Live (SNL). What Al did was stupid and foolish, and we think it was appropriate for him to apologize to Ms. Tweeden, and to the public. In our experience, we know Al as a devoted and dedicated family man, a wonderful comedic performer, and an honorable public servant.
Grabbing a woman's chest bags? Shoving his tongue down her throat? "Stupid and foolish." He's good enough, he's smart enough, and gosh darn it... people like him.
Did 36 women write this or did Al Franken write it himself?
AL FRANKEN: 'Sup sluts. I need you to sign this saying what I good guy I am.WOMEN #14: (slowly takes off crocheted vagina hat) Sure! I have no self respect.
WOMEN #27: Um, you know this reads like a bad Stuart Smiley sketch, right?
AL FRANKEN: If I wanted your opinion, you'd be a man.
Or something like that. Here's what they actually said:
That is why we are moved to quickly and directly affirm that after years of working with him, we would like to acknowledge that not one of us ever experienced any inappropriate behavior; and mention our sincere appreciation that he treated each of us with the utmost respect and regard.
Al Franken left SNL in 1995. The first accusation is from 2006. Maybe he was a perfect gentleman, then over the course of eleven years, discovered he could shove his tongue down anyone's throat, as long as he continued to support leftist causes. Or maybe he learned what another former NBC employee learned: when you’re a star, they let you do it. And I quote, "You can do anything."
The hypocrisy here is biting. Out of 36 female employees let's assume at least 34 are bitter leftists. Who supported head victim shamer in charge, Hillary Clinton. These women are like an angry pack of Lena Dunhams (see Believe All Women? Not According to Feminist Hypocrite Lena Dunham... and Writer Quits Lena Dunham Newsletter Because of Her "Well Known Racism"). With big hair and shoulder pads (it was the 80s).
So Franken gets a pass. Who wants to bet these 36 women have Facebook pages full of Trump So Sexist AF memes? Uh huh.
If Bill Clinton handed them a cigar, they'd giggle while they twirled their hair. If Trump smiled at them: "GET AWAY, RAPIST!"
Sexual assault: seems it's only okay depending on how you vote.
